This project consisted of the design and construction administration for a 14 foot wide, 120 foot span pre-engineered bridge over the south fork of Brushy Creek near Cedar Park, Texas.  The project included 582 l.f. of 10’ wide shared use path, abutments and retaining walls.  All design was in accordance with the “AASHTO Guide for the Development of Bicycle Facilities”.  Mr. Waeltz was the Project Manager and Engineer of Record for the project

  

Rosemary Denny Park Re-development - 2009

This project involved the re- development  of an existing neighborhood park in Cedar Park, Texas.  Included in the civil portion of the project was the design of approximately 3,700 l.f. of new sidewalks, storm sewer improvements, playground improvements, parking improvements, and ADA accessibility compliance.  Also included was permitting from the Brushy Creek Water Control and Improvement District, the filing of a Contributing Zone Plan and a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and floodplain permitting through the City of Cedar Park.  This project has been bid and construction is expected to begin in November 2009.  Mr. Waeltz is the Project Manager and Engineer of Record for the preparation of construction documents and construction phase services for this project.   

Hutto Lake Park, Hutto, Texas – 2009

This project consists of the development of a new park site in Hutto, Texas.  Engineering services that are being provided include the design and calculations for on-site grading, a parking lot, a 6” public water line through the site, wastewater improvements and drainage improvements that include two separate storm sewer systems with outlet structures.  Additionally, a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) is being prepared.  This project is currently under permit review.  Mr. Prete is the Project Manager and Engineer of Record for the preparation of construction documents and construction phase services for this project.   

Brushy Creek Gap Trail Project - 2009

This project is the continuation of a previous trail project located in Round Rock, Texas.  The project consists of 13,200 l.f. of 8’ wide trail located along the banks of Brushy Creek.  The project includes the specifications and selection of two pre-engineered steel bridges, paving, grading and drainage plans for the trail system, and the design of the trailhead parking facilities.  Also included is an analysis of the 100 year floodplain and a compensatory cut/fill analysis.  This project is currently under design.  Mr. Prete is the Project Manager & Engineer of Record for the preparation of construction documents and construction phase services for this project.

 

Brushy Creek Trail – East – 2005

This project was the first phase of a city wide trail system located along Brushy Creek in Round Rock, Texas.  The project consisted of the design of approximately 10,500 l.f. of 8’ wide trail and included the specifications and selection of three pre-engineered steel bridges, paving, grading and drainage plans for the trail system and trailside pavilions and erosion control plans.  Also included was the determination of the existing 100 year Floodplain and Ordinary High Water Mark.  Through careful planning and design the project was exempt from the requirements of the U.S. Corp of Engineer’s 404 permitting process. Mr. Prete was the Project Manager and Engineer of Record for the preparation of construction documents and construction administration for this project while employed at a previous firm.

Old Settlers Park Baseball Fields-Drainage & Parking Lot Improvements - 2005

This project involved of the analysis of drainage deficiencies within the existing park and the design of improvements to alleviate the drainage problems.  Also included in the project was the design of sidewalk and decomposed granite improvements to the plaza areas between three existing senior division baseball fields, storm sewer improvements and the design of an additional 126 paved parking spaces with curb and gutter and storm sewer. Mr. Prete was the Project Manager and Engineer of Record for the preparation of construction documents and construction administration for this project while employed at a previous firm.
