Waeltz & Prete is a civil engineering firm based in Round Rock, Texas. The firm was founded in 2008 by William Waeltz, P.E., and Antonio A. Prete, P.E. Following Bill Waeltz’s passing in 2013, the firm continued under its original name in recognition of the partnership and professional legacy on which it was established.

Leadership Antonio A. Prete, P.E.

Owner, President and Senior Project Manager  Tony is a Texas Professional Engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. His experience includes project management, land development, roadway and street improvements, hydrology and hydraulics, drainage facilities, floodplain analysis, detention and water quality systems, water and wastewater utilities, permitting, bidding, and construction administration. His technical background includes HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, water-system modeling, drainage reports, feasibility studies, cost estimates, schedules, and construction documents.

Our Approach

We believe good engineering should make a project easier to understand and easier to build. Our work begins with the site and the client's objectives. We identify drainage, access, utility, entitlement, environmental, and agency issues early, then develop practical alternatives that balance regulatory compliance, constructability, schedule, and cost.

Staff Engineer | Joined December 19, 2016

Jacob Woytek is an Engineer-in-Training who supports civil engineering design, technical analysis, and construction-plan preparation. His work includes site development, roadways, grading, drainage facilities, water and wastewater systems, detention and water quality controls, and engineering production using Civil 3D and common hydrologic and hydraulic tools. Jacob's long tenure with Waeltz & Prete provides valuable continuity across the firm's design standards, project files, and client relationships.

Geraldo Ramos, E.I.T.

Staff Engineer | Joined March 2025

Geraldo Ramos is an Engineer-in-Training who supports civil engineering design and technical production under the direct supervision of the Senior Project Manager. His responsibilities include design calculations, grading, drainage, utility coordination, plan preparation, quantities, exhibits, and interdisciplinary coordination. Education, registration number, and selected project assignments should be added when confirmed.

Gary Vaughn

Designer/CAD Technician | Joined November 2025

Gary Vaughn supports civil plan production, drafting, details, quantities, exhibits, and drawing coordination. Working in Civil 3D, he converts engineering direction and calculations into clear, coordinated construction documents and assists with revisions throughout design and permitting.

Javier Rodriguez

Designer/CAD Technician | Joined December 2025

Javier Rodriguez supports civil plan production, drafting, details, quantities, exhibits, and drawing coordination. He assists the engineering team with Civil 3D production, plan revisions, design documentation, and coordination of civil drawing sets.
